Sizes and how to measure

Measure the container, not the label. For a tube, take the width, the thickness, and the height with the cap on. For an airless pump or a dropper bottle, measure the diameter and the full height with the pump or dropper. For a jar, take the outer diameter and the height with the lid. Box styles and closures

A straight tuck end carton is the standard choice for custom dermocosmetic boxes, because it is simple, flat-shipped, and fits a tube or pump well. A reverse tuck end keeps the front panel clean for the product name and the key information. Auto lock bottom boxes hold a glass jar or a filled bottle without tape. A sleeve box slides over a tray and suits an ampoule set. For a treatment kit or a launch, a magnetic closure rigid box or a lift-off lid rigid box feels sturdier, and a drawer box suits a multi-step regimen.

Materials and thickness

Folding cartons use paperboard of about 300 to 400 GSM, or kraft board for a natural look. For dermocosmetic box packaging that ships straight to customers, E-flute or B-flute corrugated mailers add crush protection. Rigid boxes use greyboard of about 1.5 to 2 mm under a printed wrap. Exact thickness is confirmed for each order. Every box uses eco-friendly materials sourced from certified suppliers, and recycled paperboard and kraft board are available.

Printing, coatings, and finishes

Print full color CMYK or match your brand with Pantone spot colors, on the outside only or the outside and inside. Many dermocosmetic brands choose a restrained palette: white, pale blue, sage, or soft gray, with one accent color to mark each product line. Matte lamination keeps the look quiet and precise, gloss adds shine, and soft-touch adds a velvety feel. Spot UV can pick out the product name, and foil in gold, silver, or rose gold can mark a logo without crowding the text. Embossing and debossing add texture to a logo. Dermocosmetic boxes with logo foil and a plain matte back panel keep small type readable.

Inserts and windows

Glass dropper bottles, jars, and ampoules need to stay put, so a paperboard or corrugated insert with a die-cut opening is worth adding. Tubes usually fit snugly without one. A die-cut window with clear film shows the container, but many dermocosmetic brands keep the front solid so the name and the claims have room. Artwork and dieline

We send a free dieline sized to your container. Supply artwork as a vector AI or PDF file with fonts outlined and images at 300 DPI in CMYK. You review and approve the artwork before production starts.
