Box styles and closures

A magnetic closure rigid box is the usual choice for hair tool boxes, because it feels like a gift and holds the weight of a dryer or an iron. A lift-off lid box shows the tool at once. A drawer box slides out like a small case, and a window carton shows the tool through the front. A tuck end carton keeps cost down for a light tool such as a comb or a brush. Materials and thickness

Rigid boxes use greyboard of about 1.5 to 2 mm under a printed wrap, which gives the walls and lid a firm feel and protects a heavy tool. Folding cartons use paperboard of about 300 to 400 GSM and suit a light brush or a small iron. Kraft board gives a natural look. For mail, E-flute or B-flute corrugated mailers add crush protection. Printing, coatings, and finishes

Print full color CMYK or match your brand with Pantone spot colors, on the outside only or the outside and inside. Matte lamination looks calm, gloss adds shine, and soft-touch adds a velvety feel. Spot UV can pick out the logo, and foil in gold, silver, or rose gold adds an accent.
