What magnetic lash boxes are used for

A magnetic closure gives a lash box the feel of a jewelry box. The lid shuts with a quiet click, the walls are firm, and the case inside does not bend. Sizes and how to measure

Box styles and closures

The standard magnetic lash box is a rigid base with a hinged lid and a magnet hidden in the flap. A book style box opens like a cover, which suits a single case. A lift-off lid rigid box uses a separate lid, and a drawer box slides out of a sleeve and still holds a magnet for a clean close. A flip top with a ribbon pull helps with opening a small box. These styles can be made as custom magnetic lash box packaging for retail or for gifts.

Materials and thickness

Rigid boxes use greyboard of about 1.5 to 2 mm under a printed wrap, which gives a lash box its weight and shape. The wrap can be coated paper, textured paper, or kraft. For a lower cost, a folding carton in paperboard of about 300 to 400 GSM can carry a magnetic flap on a thin case. If the box ships by mail, a corrugated mailer in E-flute or B-flute holds it inside. Printing, coatings, and finishes

Print full color CMYK or match your brand with Pantone spot colors, on the outside only or the outside and inside. Lash brands often pick a deep color with a gold foil logo, or a pastel with a soft-touch coating. Matte lamination looks calm, gloss adds shine, and soft-touch adds a velvety feel. Spot UV can pick out a pattern, and foil in gold, silver, or rose gold adds an accent. Embossing and debossing add texture to a logo. Custom printed magnetic lash boxes can also carry a short message under the lid, the style name on the side, or a barcode on the base.

Inserts and windows

A paperboard or corrugated insert holds the case flat so it does not slide when the lid opens. For a kit, the insert has an opening for each item, plus a mirror panel if you want one. A satin or velvet-look tray can be added to a gift set. A die-cut window with clear film is possible on a magnetic lid, and it shows the lash style. For a clean luxury look, a solid lid with a foil logo is the usual choice.
