What custom nail file boxes are used for

A tuck end carton is the lowest cost choice for a single file, because it ships flat and is quick to fill. A hang tab version lets a file sit on a retail peg. A sleeve box slides over a tray and suits a set. A drawer box slides out of a sleeve and creates a reveal for a gift set. A magnetic closure rigid box feels sturdy and suits a gift set of files and tools. A window carton shows the file and its grit. Materials and thickness

Folding cartons use paperboard of about 300 to 400 GSM, which prints crisp color and keeps a long, thin file from bending. Kraft board gives a natural look. Rigid boxes use greyboard of about 1.5 to 2 mm under a printed wrap and suit a gift set. For mail, E-flute or B-flute corrugated mailers add crush protection, which matters for glass files. Printing, coatings, and finishes

Print full color CMYK or match your brand with Pantone spot colors, on the outside only or the outside and inside. A nail file box is long and narrow, so a vertical logo and a clear grit number work best. Many brands use a color band for each grit, such as coarse, medium, and fine, so shoppers pick at a glance. Matte lamination looks calm, gloss adds shine, and soft-touch adds a velvety feel. Spot UV can pick out the logo, and foil in gold, silver, or rose gold adds an accent. Inserts and windows

A paperboard or corrugated insert holds a glass file in place and keeps it from rattling. For a set, the insert has a slot for each file and a place for a buffer. A clean white insert makes a colored file stand out.
