Sizes and how to measure

Measure the container, not the label. For a jar, take the outer diameter at the widest point and the height with the lid on. For an airless pump, measure the diameter and the full height with the pump and cap. For a tube, take the width, the thickness, and the height with the cap. Allow 1/8 to 1/4 inch per side for clearance. Send us the numbers and we build the dieline around them.

Box styles and closures

A straight tuck end carton is the standard choice for custom printed night cream boxes, because it is flat-shipped, quick to fill, and fits a jar neatly. A reverse tuck end opens from opposite sides, and an auto lock bottom holds a heavier glass jar without tape. A sleeve box slides over a tray and suits a gift pack. For a launch or a night and day set, a magnetic closure rigid box or a lift-off lid rigid box gives a heavier unboxing, and a drawer box lets a customer slide out two jars together.

Materials and thickness

Folding cartons use paperboard of about 300 to 400 GSM, or kraft board for a natural look that suits botanical night creams. When night cream ships straight to customers, E-flute or B-flute corrugated mailers add crush protection, which matters for glass jars. Rigid boxes use greyboard of about 1.5 to 2 mm under a printed wrap. Exact thickness is confirmed for each order. Printing, coatings, and finishes

Print full color CMYK or match your brand with Pantone spot colors, on the outside only or the outside and inside. Night creams invite deep colors: navy, plum, charcoal, and forest green all say evening, and a printed inside panel in a contrasting color adds a small surprise on opening. Matte or soft-touch lamination keeps dark colors rich and soft, while gloss adds shine. Spot UV can pick out the product name, and foil in gold, silver, or rose gold supports luxury night cream packaging, especially against a dark background. Embossing and debossing add texture to a logo. Night cream boxes with logo foil and a plain back panel keep the directions readable.

Inserts and windows

A heavy glass jar can slide and knock the lid inside its box. A paperboard or corrugated insert with a die-cut opening holds the jar centered and keeps the lid from rubbing the wall. A die-cut window with clear film shows the jar or the cream color, which suits a pale or tinted formula. With dark, evening-themed artwork, many brands keep the front solid and save the window for a side panel.

Dark, full-coverage artwork shows scuffs more easily than light colors, so ask us about coatings when you send it.
