What window pouches are used for

Sizes and how to measure

Pouch size is written as width x height x bottom gusset, for a stand-up pouch. A flat pouch has no gusset. To choose a size, measure the volume or weight of your product and compare it to the pouch size. A small pouch suits samples and single servings, a mid size pouch suits most retail products, and a large pouch suits bulk items. Leave about an inch of space at the top for the zipper and the seal. The window size is planned from the front panel, and it should leave room for your logo and your product name.

Materials, windows, and closures

Window pouches come in several materials. Kraft pouches have a natural paper look, matte and white pouches have a clean modern look, and foil or metalized pouches give a barrier from light. The window is a clear film panel. It can be a circle, a rectangle, an oval, a panel along one side, or a shape that matches your logo. A resealable zipper keeps the pouch closed after the first opening, a tear notch makes it easy to open, and a hang hole lets the pouch hang on a rack. Printing and finishing

Custom window pouches are usually printed in full color on the front and back, with a matte or gloss surface. The print wraps around the window, so the window becomes part of the design. You supply the text and the layout, and we print what you send. We do not write or check label text or claims.
