Sizes and how to measure

Box size is written as length x width x height, measured inside. Measure your product, decide how many units fit across and down, and add a small gap. Board, printing, and options

Display boxes are made from paperboard or corrugated board. Paperboard gives a smooth surface for sharp color, and corrugated board gives more strength for heavier items. The front panel opens, tears away, or folds back to show the product. Boxes arrive flat and are set up by hand. Finishes include matte or gloss lamination, soft touch, and foil. Corrugated board gives the carton strength for shipping and stacking. A sample kit lets you feel the board and test the fit.

Printing and finishing

Printing can be full color on the outside, with a one color or full color print inside. Because a display box is seen from a few feet away, a bold logo and a clear product name matter most. Keep key text inside the safe area on the dieline, away from folds and tear lines. We set up the folds and the cut lines on the free dieline, and you approve it before production. Put the brand on the front tray, which becomes the display.

How shelf ready packaging opens

A shelf ready carton has a perforated line. The store tears it, and the front panel comes away, leaving a tray with the product facing out. Some designs have a lid that folds back. The goal is to put the product on the shelf in seconds. Ask your retailer which opening they prefer.

You review and approve the artwork before production starts.
